TEACCH a structured teaching system focussing on the child with autism and the development of a program around their personal skills, interests and needs. Based on the idea that the environment should be adapted to the individual with autism, not the child to the environment. TEACCH aims to educate the child to understand the world around them focussing on the development of independent work within a careful structured environment appealing the child with ASD’s strengths in the use of systems and schedules.
